Mission Trips

We have partnerships in several countries that allow us to invest time, energy, and resources for an exponential return.

We want to be God’s answer to the prayers of those serving in other countries while also sending people on life-changing mission trips year after year.

We believe going on mission is more than a trip you go on for a week; it’s a six-month transformative experience. The heart of our mission trips is to help you grow as a disciple of Jesus. From each equipping, to raising funds, to actually going on the trip – it’s an opportunity for God to do something in you as He does something through you.

Every trip is an invitation to practice what it looks like to be a hope carrier and activate hope. The goal of our trips is not painting a wall or getting a cool cultural experience; it’s about serving people and becoming a person of love.

Mission Trip FAQs

  • The short answer is, because it’s what God has created, called, and commissioned us to do. We believe a hope carrier is a disciple of Jesus, living on mission to change their world. God created us to be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth (Genesis 1:28). God designed us to do good works which He has prepared in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:10). God has commissioned us to be witnesses in Jerusalem (our city), Judea (our region), Samaria (other nations), and to the ends of the earth (all people groups in every area of life) (Acts 1:8). That’s why we believe that building mission trips and teams is one of our core strategies to be a movement of hope.
  • Each mission trip is designed to be more than a trip you’re on for a week or two – it’s a six-month transformative experience. No matter how long the actual trip is, where we’re going, or who’s participating, the heart of our mission trips is to help you grow as a disciple of Jesus. It’s an opportunity for God to do something in you as He does something through you. Every trip is an invitation to practice what it looks like to be a hope carrier here at home, so that we can be activated to carry hope over there, and an opportunity to practice what it looks like to be a hope carrier over there, so we can be activated to carry hope over here. It’s an invitation for our family to engage in the global church and join the movement of hope that Jesus is building around the world – a movement that will not be stopped! (Matthew 16:18).
  • Each participant on our trips will do things like memorize scripture and engage in monthly equippings to learn how to share the gospel, share their stories of hope, and practice a lifestyle of asking, listening, and responding to the voice of God.
  • We pray that God creates moments that lead to movement, inspiring a life of mission. The goal of our trips is not painting a wall or getting a cool cultural experience, but serving people and becoming a person of love.
  • The vision of the trip always determines the qualifications of the team. The mission is always more important than the experience. Each of our partners have a vision to advance the kingdom of God in their community. That’s why our goal is to build teams that both honor and equip our partners to advance that vision.
    • Tier 1: Qualifications – Actively engaged in a circle or a serve team and giving
    • Tier 2: Qualifications – Leading a circle or a serve team
    • Tier 3: Invitation – Team members are personally invited because of unique skills or life experience necessary to accomplish the vision of our ministry partner
  • Every year we are asking, listening, and responding to what God is doing both in and through our church. We are also asking God to reveal to us the right partners and projects that He is leading us to engage in around the world. There are needs everywhere, so we ask God to show us which projects best advance the rule and reign of Jesus for the good of others and the glory of God. Projects that are built in collaboration with a great partner that advances the Kingdom and the vision that our partner believes God has given them to reach their church, city, and country.
