summer Mission Trip

Where:
Lima & Cusco, Peru

This summer, we’ll be taking two teams of high school students to Peru to partner with local schools and churches to bring hope to the community. We believe this will be a great opportunity for our students to practice the ways of Jesus, advance kingdom culture, and grow as disciples.

Lima Team

9th-12th Grade

This team will go to Lima, Peru to share the gospel and their testimonies in schools through a drama. Students will also engage in community development projects that are part of a comprehensive vision to help advance the local church’s reach within the community.

Who can go on this trip?

  • Students currently enrolled in 9th or 10th grade
  • Students who are actively engaged in either Student Circles, Student Leadership Experience, or a Valley Creek serve team
Cusco Team

11th & 12th Grade

This team will go to Lima then take an additional, one-hour flight to Cusco, Peru. There, they will partner with local ministries to share the gospel through community service projects and food distribution. Students will have the opportunity to connect with and do outreach in barrios and in indigenous villages.

  • Students currently enrolled in 11th or 12th grade
  • Students who are actively engaged in either Student Circles, Student Leadership Experience, or a Valley Creek serve team

Mission Trip FAQs

  • Complete an application (applications will be open November 18-December 1)
  • Submit a non-refundable deposit within 72 hours of acceptance to the trip
  • Two days of community development projects in partnership with local churches
  • Three days of hands-on ministry in local communities and schools
  • Adventure days for both teams in Lima and Cusco
  • We want to create a unique experience for our high school students that provides them with right-sized opportunities to grow as a disciple and as a leader.
  • The Lima team will have the opportunity to lead a drama presentation of the gospel, where they will learn to work as a team and practice sharing their testimony with others.
  • The Cusco team will have the opportunity lead community outreach projects, where they will learn to work as a team, practice servanthood, and share the gospel in a unique cultural setting.
  • A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due within 72 hours of acceptance to the trip.
  • Each student will be required to raise $3,500 across four months.
  • The total cost of the trip includes airfare, all ground transportation, baggage fees, on-location meals, lodging, ministry training, and ministry supplies.
  • The total cost of the trip does not include passport fees, souvenirs, airport meals, international insurance, or immunizations.
  • All donations are tax-deductible, and all funds raised towards the trip are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Valley Creek Staff and leaders will be partnering with Real Impact Missions (RIM) to lead the trip and provide resources to track fundraising, paperwork, and tasks.
  • Real Impact Missions is a multi-denominational Christian organization that mobilizes individuals and groups for short-term missions. RIM is a registered 501(c)3 organization.
  • All leaders are background checked and have experience leading students.
