This Next Gen Safety Training is designed to equip our next gen teams to recognize and report signs of abuse and self-harm – an important part of keeping our kids and students safe. It’s a three-part training that takes approximately 90 minutes to complete.

STEP 1 | Complete MinistrySafe Training

Once you’ve watched the introduction video, your first step is to complete the MinistrySafe Sexual Abuse Awareness Training. This is designed to help you understand the facts and misconceptions related to child sexual abuse, including the basic characteristics of an abuser, the grooming process of the offender, and key indicators of child sexual abuse. 

STEP 2 | Read Awareness and Reporting Guidelines

Your second step is to review the Next Gen Abuse and Self-Harm Awareness and Reporting Guidelines document. This covers the types of abuse minors may experience, how to recognize signs of self-harm and suicidal thoughts, questions you can ask if you’re concerned about a kid or student, and how to report abuse, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts.

STEP 3 | Review Next Gen Safety Guidelines

Your third step is to review the Next Gen Safety Guidelines document. This covers the top five safety guidelines that are important for every serve team member to know when serving with the next gen.
