Serve The City

We’re carrying hope to the whole north Texas region! Join us once a month for Serve the City where all of Valley Creek comes together to serve from their local campus and be a movement of hope for their city.

Saturday, April 20

This month, we’re serving the area of education! The people who work in education make such a positive impact on our next gen, and the end of the school year is the perfect time to encourage them as they finish strong.

We’ll carry hope to them through gifts, encouraging notes, and some decor and gardening projects.

Sign up to serve this month using the links below. Space is limited, so be sure to fill out a form for each person participating.

Frequently Asked Questions

Email and let us know which project you signed up for. We’ll take a look and let you know what your next step is so your whole family can serve together.

Plan to be at Serve the City from 9am to 12pm.

It’s best to wear comfortable clothes, closed-toed shoes, and something you don’t mind getting dirty.

  • You’ll see an age restriction on the sign-up form if kids are unable to be part of that project. In general, kids 7 and up need to be registered and will be included in an assigned role on the team. Any kids 6 and under are welcome to come and accompany you as you serve.
  • Kids can only attend with a parent or guardian. Childcare is not provided, so kids need to be with their parent or guardian at all times.

Every Serve the City starts at your local campus. Some projects require travel from the campus to the serving location. That information is included on the registration form. Students and kids must have transportation with their parent or guardian. Staff and leaders are not able to provide transportation for anyone.

We have limited space for each project, so we require each person to register in advance so we can plan accordingly. If you signed up for Serve the City and have an unexpected guest with you, they can accompany you on your project.

Most of the Serve the City projects require a minimum standing time of 30 minutes. In addition, some heavy lifting can be required, and many projects require some physical activity. If you’d like to serve but are unsure if you’re physically able to, please email and let us know. We’ll respond with more detail to help you make the best decision on which project to be a part of.
