Plan to be at Serve the City from 9am to 12pm.
It’s best to wear comfortable clothes, closed-toed shoes, and something you don’t mind getting dirty.
Every Serve the City starts at your local campus. Some projects require travel from the campus to the serving location. That information is included on the registration form. Students and kids must have transportation with their parent or guardian. Staff and leaders are not able to provide transportation for anyone.
We have limited space for each project, so we require each person to register in advance so we can plan accordingly. If you signed up for Serve the City and have an unexpected guest with you, they can accompany you on your project.
You can view all serving opportunities at valleycreek.org/serve.
Most of the Serve the City projects require a minimum standing time of 30 minutes. In addition, some heavy lifting can be required, and many projects require some physical activity. If you’d like to serve but are unsure if you’re physically able to, please email nextsteps@valleycreek.org and let us know. We’ll respond with more detail to help you make the best decision on which project to be a part of.
