Summer Mission Trip

This summer, we’ll be taking a team of young adults to Johannesburg, South Africa to partner with a local church to bring hope to the community. We believe this will be a great opportunity to practice the ways of Jesus, advance kingdom culture, and grow as disciples.

Mission Trip FAQs

  • Complete an application (applications will be open September 28-October 12)
  • Submit a $200 non-refundable deposit within 72 hours of acceptance to the trip
  • Two days of community development projects in partnership with local churches
  • Four days of ministry providing a VBS for children in Andes Mountain villages.
  • Adventure day visiting a volcano and a UNESCO World Heritage site
  • A non-refundable deposit of $200 is due within 72 hours of acceptance to the trip.
  • Each student will be required to raise $3,000 across five months.
  • The total cost of the trip includes airfare, all ground transportation, international insurance, baggage fees, on-location meals, lodging, ministry training, and ministry supplies.
  • The total cost of the trip does not include passport fees, souvenirs, airport meals, additional international insurance, or immunizations.
  • All donations are tax-deductible, and all funds raised towards the trip are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Valley Creek Staff and leaders will be partnering with Joshua Expeditions to lead the trip and provide resources to track fundraising, paperwork, and tasks.
  • Joshua Expeditions provides Christ-centered student educational travel, engaging the world by inspiring purpose, developing leaders, and sharing Christ. JE is a registered 501(c)3 organization. All leaders are background checked and have experience leading students.
