Raising Up Generations of Hope Carriers

At Valley Creek, we believe our students are gen hope – a generation defined by the hope of Jesus. We believe students have the ability to influence and lead their generation for Jesus and toward Jesus. We don’t just believe they’ll change the world some day; we know they can change their world today. That’s why we have Student Leadership Experience.

Applications Open through June 30

What is student leadership experience?

Student Leadership Experience is a nine-month journey where students (6th-12th grade) will grow in becoming a disciple of Jesus and learn to lead themselves and others through weekly and monthly interactive experiences.

Throughout the experience, students will practice their faith by completing a training plan designed to help them grow in character and personhood and form lifelong habits of a leader. Each student will be a part of a team, called a pod, that’s led by two coaches.

What Does the Experience Look like?

Monthly

On the first Sunday of every month, students will come together from 5:30pm-8:30pm. They’ll work through one of our foundational topics, discuss their learnings, and put them into practice through hands-on leadership labs. (Dinner will be provided starting at 5:30pm)

Sundays

Every Sunday morning, students will meet with their coaches from 8:30am-9am at their local campus. Here they will collectively work on their training plan and lead the way in the weekend experience.

Wednesdays

Every Wednesday night, students will meet for meaningful community and leadership essentials from 6:15pm-6:40pm. They'll gather with their team to practice their faith, pray together for the Wednesday experience, and be released to serve in their assigned roles. Pizza will be provided.

Training Plan

Every week, students will engage in their training plan that will help them grow as a disciple of Jesus. Students will memorize Scripture each month, engage the reading plan, actively participate in our Sunday morning prayer experiences, and complete a monthly hope carrier opportunity.
