  • We’ll pre-assign a baptizer for you
  • If you serve on a team at Valley Creek, it’s a good idea to talk with your serve team leader about your serving schedule for the day. We want you to be able to fully engage in this special day!
What to wear:
  • Solid black pants or long shorts
  • Easily removable shoes
  • Baptism Shirt (provided the day of)
What to Bring:
  • Towel
  • Bag for your wet clothes
  • Dry change of clothes (including undergarments)
What happens during baptisms:
  • At Valley Creek, baptisms happen while we are worshipping.
  • Once you are in the baptism tank, your baptizer will ask you, “Is Jesus Lord, and will you follow Him?”
  • You will get to respond with, “Yes, Jesus is Lord, and I will follow Him!”
  • Then, your baptizer will place one hand on your back and the other on the hand you’ll use to plug your nose.
  • Before fully submerging you into the water, your baptizer will declare, “I baptize you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.”
  • Then, everyone will celebrate with you throughout the worship experience!
  • After that, you’ll exit the worship center to change your clothes and return for the remainder of the service.
THIS IS A BIG DAY - SO INVITE EVERYONE TO COME BE A PART OF IT!
