We’re so excited you’ve said “yes” to baptism. Please read each section below carefully so you’re fully prepared for baptism on Sunday, September 7 at your campus.
DAY OF DETAILS:
Baptisms are on Sunday, September 7
Arrive 45 minutes before the service time you chose
You’ll receive a text message the day before, giving you specific instructions on where to meet our baptism team
Our team will be taking photos that day and we’ll provide a link to you the week after your baptism (we do our best to capture every baptism, but there’s no guarantee)
We’ll pre-assign someone to baptize you
If you serve on a team at Valley Creek, it’s a good idea to talk with your serve team leader about your serving schedule for the day – we want you to be able to fully engage in this special day!
What to wear/bring:
Solid black pants or long shorts
Towel
A bag for your wet clothes
Baptism Shirt (provided the day of)
Dry change of clothes (including undergarments)
Easily removable shoes
How to Prepare:
Once you are in the tank, your baptizer will ask you, “Is Jesus Lord, and will you follow Him?”
You will get to respond with, “Yes, Jesus is Lord, and I will follow Him!”
Then, your baptizer will place one hand on your back and the other on the hand you’ll use to hold your nose.
Before fully submerging you into the water, your baptizer will declare, “I baptize you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.”
Then, everyone will celebrate before you exit the tank.
After that, you’ll exit the worship center to change your clothes and can return for the remainder of service.
THIS IS A BIG DAY - SO INVITE EVERYONE TO COME BE A PART OF IT!
