24 May The Story So Far | 05/24/2020
From time to time we will include conversation starters to help your group find friendship and get the discussion rolling. If you would like, take a couple of minutes at the top of your time together to build relationships and get to know each other better.
What is the best meal you have made or had delivered during “stay at home”?
The world has a story to tell, but God has a better story that He has been whispering.
Faith comes by hearing, so whatever story you are listening to is growing your faith in that thing. Satan has come to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus has come to give us abundant life. The world’s story is full of fear, doubt, and worry, but the real narrative is the one God has been telling us – God is good, Jesus has forgiven us, we are loved, and everything is possible.
As a family, we entered this season with 5 prayers:
- That God would use this for good.
- That we would rest in the finished work of Jesus.
- That we would have an awakening.
- That our relationships would grow stronger.
- That we would be hope carriers.
How would you tell the story of this season? Does it sound more like the world’s version or God’s version of the story? In your story, where have you seen God answer our family’s 5 prayers?
How have you brought your faith into your home in a new way this season?
What is something that has come out of these last 11 weeks that you are grateful for?
