Serve Team

Every student will be a part of a VCC Serve Team at their campus during a Sunday morning service:

Worship / Production Team (6-12th grade)

Worship platform & production teams help create environments that lift up the name of Jesus in our weekend services, Kids spaces, and HUB gatherings. All platform team members must have auditioned & completed Worship Step. When rehearsal times conflict with HSLx meetings, it counts as participation.

NextGen Connection Team (6-12th grade)

Students create an environment in our Kids & HUB atrium spaces where the students and families in our church can get connected to our Next Gen ministries. If you love meeting & helping people, this would be a great team for you!

HUB Section Host (9-12th grade)

Students host the student section in the worship center to create an environment full of faith & belonging so that others to encounter Jesus.

Kids Impact Team (6-12th grade)

Middle school and high school students make an impact on kid’s lives by leading a huddle and playing games, helping them have fun and discover Jesus.

HUB Middle School Group Leader (9-12th grade)

High school students create relationships with & lead a small group of middle school students as they help them discover Jesus, find friendship, and have fun!

Who can apply for HSLx? Any 6-12th grader who actively participates in HUB on Wednesdays and weekend services at VCC.

Can students join HSLx mid-year? Students can only join HSLx during the Fall application period (Ends August 30) because it truly is a 9-month experience that we desire students to get the full experience of.

What is the time commitment for HSLx? HSLx is before our Sunday and Wednesday gatherings that most students are already apart of. There will also be regular retreats and excursions occurring outside of the weekly rhythm.

What’s included in the cost?  Your $50 cost covers all events and excursions associated with HSLx for the year. It also includes some fun stuff to wear and use!

Is there an expectation of participation? Yes, by applying, you are committing to attending at least 85% of HSLx meetings & HUB Gatherings. You are also committing to communicate to HSLx Leadership when you plan to be absent.
*Below you can preview the parent/guardian and student agreements that are in the application as you process this next step together
