November Monthly Gathering

Hey Coaches!!

It’s time for our monthly gathering! We can’t wait for this month’s discovery of Worship! 

The best thing you can do is join us in praying for kids and their hearts would connect to the true meaning of worship. 

You can start now by praying these over kids, families, yourselves, your co-coach, and Kid’s Directors/Kid’s Team:

• Thank you God for showing us more of Yourself

• You alone are worthy of all our praise and honor

• Will You help us be focused on You and all that You have for us, tonight?

Here’s a snapshot of the gathering:

• • Coach Huddle | 5:45pm

• • Doors Open | 5:55pm (this is 5 minutes earlier this year!)

• • Event Starts | 6:00pm

• • Pizza/Ice Breakers *This is where you will also grab their level for the month and mark it on your Pod roster!

• • Prayer | 6:05pm

• • Game Time “Speed Puzzle” | 6:07pm

• • • Here’s how to play: Together with your pod (or half your pod) you’re going to be given a puzzle in a bag. 

• • • • You’ll know it is *one* of a well known cereal box cover, but you won’t know which one! (Think Cheerios, Fruity Pebbles, Trix, things like that) 
      • We’re going to give you 10 minutes and the first group to complete their puzzle wins! 
      • If groups complete quickly, you can encourage others to finish for 2nd place, etc. 
      • If no groups finish, the group with the most completed puzzle wins.  
  • Leadership Essential #2 (Leaders Ask Meaningful Questions) and Table Time | 6:17pm

• • Discovery Video (Worship is our heart’s response to what we value most) | 6:34pm

• • Leadership Lab and Table Time | 6:43pm

• • • We are going to practice worship in three different ways. We are going to give God all of our attention and praise and respond in worship three different ways. 

• • Song: We will worship through song and music. We will play a VCC Kids music video to practice

• • • • Our encouragement is for kids to spread out and practice taking a step outside themselves. This could look like dancing, singing, shout words of praise, or walk around the room and sing while they walk – however they feel led by the Holy Spirit to respond to giving Jesus the number 1 place in their heart. 

• • Words: When we value God, we value what He cares about – like people. So we can worship Him with kind and life-giving words to His people.

• • • • We will take a moment for us to ask the Holy Spirit to show us a person (in the room, doesn’t have to be in their pod) that we can share words of encouragement with
      • We will then give everyone some time to actually go and speak those words over that person. 

• • Serving: We can worship Him through serving others. Jesus showed us all through his life what it looks like to serve others – He came to serve us!

• • • • Kids will practice worship by cleaning up the tables, gathering the puzzle pieces, cleaning up plates/trash, gathering supplies, wiping down tables. 

• • Prayer | 7:04pm

• • Free Time | 7:05pm
