Finance Assistant






The role of the Finance Assistant is to provide administrative and accounting support for Valley Creek Operations.




  • Lead the Finance serve team and develop Kingdom leaders on that team.
  • Prepare journal entries for month end close, corrections and transfer charges between departments
  • Prepare month end reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
  • Process weekly contribution and other ministry receipts for weekly deposit
  • Process invoices, verifying approval to pay and making timely payments
  • Process and approve ministry expense reports
  • Maintain donor contribution records in the donor module
  • Answer general ledger and accounts payable questions
  • Prepare contribution and giving reports as needed
  • Assist with preparing and mailing contribution statements
  • Run serve team background checks
  • Perform other duties as requested by ministry leadership

  • Proficient understanding of accounting and finance principles
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Prior experience in A/P, A/R or other accounting experience
