January Monthly Gathering

Hey Coaches!

It’s time for our monthly gathering! We can’t wait for this month’s discovery of Creation!
We can go first in this by… paying attention and calling attention to God’s creation through prayer for our kids! 

Prayer is talking with God about the life we are living together! You can start now by praying over kids, families, yourselves, your co-coach, and Kid’s Directors/Kid’s Team! 

Here’s a snapshot of the gathering:

• Coach Huddle | 5:45pm 

• Doors Open | 5:55pm (this is 5 minutes earlier this year!)

• Event Starts | 6:00pm

• Pizza/Ice Breakers

• Prayer | 6:05pm

• We won’t have specific prayer prompts on the screen! Our kids have grown in prayer so we want to celebrate kids and allow kids to talk with their good Father in their own way!

• Game Time “It’s Me” | 6:07pm

• • Here’s how to play: This game, every player will need 5 dice. Let me explain:

• • • Players hold all five dice in their hands. The Kid’s Director will call out a number (1-6). 
    • When the Kid’s Director say  “Go”  everyone rolls at the same time. Be careful to keep your dice just in front of you. 
    • Put all your dice with the number the Kid’s Director called aside, collect the remaining dice and quickly roll again. (You do not have to wait for others to roll again. Everyone rolls together only on the first roll.) Keep rolling until all of your dice show the called number.
    • If you are the first player to get all 5 dice to show the same number, you’re going to yell out “it’s me!”. Each pod will have 1 winner each round. 

• Leadership Essential #4 (Leaders Go the Extra Mile) and Table Time | 6:23pm

• Discovery Video (I can see the Goodness of God in all He created) | 6:37pm

• Leadership Lab | 6:44pm

• • As a reminder, Leader Labs are where we take the discovery deeper by putting a hands-on activity to the spiritual truth!

• • We will start by watching an inspirational video on creation!

• • Next, coaches you will pass out an activity sheet and write down on the first box of what stood out to kids. 

• • Then in the smaller box below, kids will put their thumbprint on that piece of paper, then grab a magnify glass and look at all the unique parts of their own finger.

• • Then Directors will remind kids that when they were created they were called “very good” and then allow kids a few minutes to write down specific ways  God created them to reveal His goodness.
• Pod Discussion and Large Group Discussion | 6:55pm 
  • Questions to ask your pod
    • How do you personally see God’s goodness around you?
    • How can you practice paying attention to God’s goodness in all He created in your everyday life?
    • What’s something that stood out to you and why?

• Prayer | 7:04pm

• Level 3 Giveaway | 7:05pm 

• • We celebrate what we want to replicate! Any Kid that has received a level 3 for 3 or more times this semester, will be entered into a drawing to receive a pretty cool prize! 

• Free Time | 7:06pm
