Valley Creek College offers a unique approach to higher education where students are able to pursue fully-accredited associate’s and bachelor’s degrees through our partnership with Southeastern University (SEU) while being trained to become kingdom leaders.
With a focus on academic excellence, spiritual formation, leadership development, relational skills, and missional living, students will be equipped to live as kingdom leaders and create a future that doesn’t currently exist for the good of others and the glory of God.
Valley Creek College places a high value on helping students become lifelong learners. We believe if students leave school having learned how to learn (not just what to think but how to think) they will be better prepared to face every challenge ahead. Through our partnership with Southeastern University*, students will have the opportunity to pursue a variety of degree plans while benefiting from the intimacy of a smaller campus, collaborative learning environments, enhanced resources, and one-on-one support.
Below is a list of the degree plans available:
*Valley Creek College is a ministry of Valley Creek Church. Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida partners with Valley Creek Church to offer students an affordable, accredited, Christ-centered educational experience. With flexible class options and hands-on learning opportunities, Southeastern University provides students with a pathway to discover and develop their divine design.
With an emphasis on developing students to become whole people, spiritual formation is integrated into every part of the Valley Creek College experience. Students will engage the process of being formed into the image and likeness of Jesus through a variety of transformative experiences. Weekly rhythms include student-led chapels, weekend services, discipleship groups (Circles), experiential teachings (in the areas of Theology, Character, Leadership, and Bible), and setting aside time for spiritual practices like silence and solitude, meditation, and prayer.
In order to raise up the next generation of kingdom leaders, Valley Creek College pairs classroom instruction with hands-on leadership development, coaching, and equipping. Students will be immersed in the Valley Creek staff culture (a developmental culture where they can practice the leadership calling on their life) and will receive up to 800 hours of hands-on leadership training and mentoring through practicum experiences in areas such as communications, creative, worship, production, missions, and next gen ministries.
Valley Creek College equips students to have the relational skills and character necessary to steward and sustain their unique calling. This begins with discovering who they are in Jesus (identity) and learning to pursue healthy and authentic relationships in every area of their life. Through interactive teachings and team-based activities, students will learn to grow in communication, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, and how to work through and resolve healthy conflict.
Valley Creek College is passionate about missional living. We believe God wants to release His answers to the world’s problems through kingdom leaders. Students will learn to partner with God and align their life to the work He’s currently doing. Through participation in international mission trips and local serving opportunities, students will experience the power of the global church and discover what it looks like to bring His presence, His kingdom, and His hope into the areas of life they go every day.
Student life at Valley Creek College goes beyond the typical college experience. Students will build a community of godly relationships that last a lifetime through fun weekly events, team-based competitions, excursions, retreats, and classroom experiences. Students will also be immersed into the life flow of Valley Creek – a Jesus-focused, Spirit-filled, Life-giving church. As Valley Creek College continues to grow, students will have the opportunity to do life and attend classes in a state-of-the-art Training Center designed to foster creativity, excellence, collaborative learning, and spiritual growth.
We’ve taken the best parts of Valley Creek Leadership Academy to create a nine-month (two semester) leadership experience for adults of any age who are desiring to grow as disciples of Jesus and see God’s kingdom come in every area of life.

Yes. The Southeastern University (SEU) Partner Program does afford students the opportunity to apply for financial aid. The most common financial aid awards available are the federal Pell grant, subsidized and unsubsidized student loans, and the parent PLUS loan, all of which are obtained through the FAFSA application (fafsa.gov). Once the FAFSA is processed successfully, students will receive a tentative award letter from SEU’s Office of Student Financial Services that outlines their expected financial aid for the year.
For more information on how to apply for financial aid, visit https://www.seu.edu/financial.
Yes. Students will be able to work part-time as long as it doesn’t interfere with outside reading and assignments (approximately 12-15 hours per week), scheduled activities, and/or required events.
Like all higher education institutions, Southeastern University (SEU) has specific guidelines on credit acceptance from other colleges. Generally, SEU will accept credits from other regionally accredited colleges; however, the transferability of credits depends on the student’s academic performance in those prior courses, as well as the course equivalency in the student’s degree program at SEU. Please contact the Offices of the Registrar (registrar@seu.edu) with specific questions pertaining to transfer of credits.
