Facilities Assistant Volunteer

Do you think of yourself as “Tim, the toolman, Taylor?” Well, Valley Creek can always use a helping hand with setting up or tearing down after special events, handyman work, weekly classroom set up, securing the building, and more!

Volunteer Description:

Do you make your own home movies?  Are you great with computers?  Would you like to make an impact creating videos for the Kingdom of God?  You can serve in our Media Department as an editor or camera operator and truly learn the biz!

Have you taken 1000 pictures of your friends and family?  Does everyone want a copy of your great photographs?  Why not use yor skills to capture some great moments here at VCC.  We'll teach you how to use a Professional Digital Camera and set you off around the church to capture smiles, and all the action.

Resource Center Volunteers

Audio/video recordings, books, and literature from our worship services and special events can be a tremendous witness tool and personal study help. We need friendly, dedicated people to advertise and distribute these great resources at our Resource Center.

In the Nursery Preschool Ministry we believe ministry is serving God by serving others. There are so many opportunities for you to serve and we are blessed to have the greatest leaders within our ministry that are passionate about sharing the love of Christ and engaging in a little one's first steps through discipleship.. from husbands and wives to friends joining together, there is a place for you! To find out how you too can serve contact our Volunteer Coordinator.

There are three ways you can serve:

1. Room Leader — Initiator of fun and learning while providing a safe and loving environment for a designated age group.
2. Greeter — Assist families in getting what they need and helping them get to where they are going. Primary goal when greeting a new family is to make their experience enjoyable and effortless.
3. TLC Leader — Provide extra TLC for those little ones who need special attention as they grow to love the Nursery Preschool (a.k.a. separation “anxiety”). Primary goal is to assist families by providing one-on-one care for their little one as they transition by allowing an uninterrupted worship experience.

Camera Technician

Lights! Camera! Acti . . . wait, where’s the camera? There won’t be much action for our in-house broadcasting and online Podcasts without talented and dependable camera technicians. Help us bring the action to those who can’t be there during service.

What makes a worship service appear seamless and effortless? Lots and lots of hard work behind the scenes by many people. Ease their load and bring clarity and direction to their collective efforts by taking the director’s chair during services assisting the media teams.

“Have you ever moved your mouth along to a song pretending to know the words or scrambled to find a scripture reference? Yeah, we’ve all done it. But no more! With your help, we’ll always have the right things on screen at the right time. Be a part of making our corporate worship seamless and filled with pure praise!”

Lighting Technician

Could we worship in the dark? Of course. Could Pastor Kevin preach in the dark? Sure . . . but, wow, that’d be a lot of memorization! No, we really need light—and we really need talented lighting technicians to create just the right lighting presentations for every situation. Come on…don’t make the worship team stand up there in unflattering light!

What are you most excited about in worship? The singing? Do you wish it would go on and on? Do you love to hear a multitude of voices lifted in praise to God? Your talented voice and genuine, infectious praise attitude would be a welcome addition to our Praise Team! (Audition required.)

Remember the first time you laid eyes on that shiny instrument and knew—knew—you had to learn to play it? Do you still get to perform with it as often as you like? Wouldn’t you like to keep up your practice and make a difference in people’s lives? You can do both as you serve the church by offering instrumental skills to help lead in worship. (Audition required.)

Do you sing in the shower? Love to sing praises to the Lord? Come help lead worship and perform special songs during Valley Creek worship services. The only requirements are—must love God, like to sing and have fun!

Volunteer Description:

Switcher Technician

Do your friends and family consider you a “techie” – no, not a Star Trek fan! If you love computers, cameras, spending your Saturday nights at Comp USA…then, we have a place for you! Switcher Technicians control camera shots and all the media to the worship center, outer screens, recorded DVD’s and podcasting.
