Serve with the Next Steps Center

SERVE THE CITY DAY

The 3rd Saturday of every month we send teams out into our community to serve. Projects include park and neighborhood cleanup, hosting bike rodeos, sorting donations,  small construction projects, prayer walks and so much more.

May 19th is our next Serve the City Day.  We have several great service projects including working in a community garden, doing yard work, painting and light construction at three homes, cleaning up a local park and much more.  There is a place for families, individuals, young and old to meet the community needs we see.

NEXT STEPS CENTER INTEREST GATHERING

Come join us for a behind the scenes look at what happens at the Next Steps Center and learn how to get involved.  The Next Steps Center Interest Gathering is 7pm on May 8th at the Next Steps Center in Room One.

NEXT STEPS CENTER MIDWEEK TEAM

The Next Steps Center is now open on Mondays from 10 am to 4 pm.  During this time we accept donations, pray with people in need, work on various projects and have a ton of fun together serving God and serving others.  The NSC Receptionist Team are the first people from our VCC Family that many people will encounter so we want to have a welcoming, gracious group of folks on this team.

GET INVOLVED IN A LOCAL SCHOOL

Many kids in our communities could use encouragement and a smile to set them up for success in school.  We have been given the opportunity to serve several of our community schools by providing reading buddies, copy room helpers, mentors, lunch buddies, field trip chaperones, welcome teams and so much more.

If you are interested in serving in a school environment please email NextStepsCenter@ValleyCreek.org and we’ll be in touch.

FEEDING THOSE IN NEED

Valley Creek provides lunch on the first Sunday of every month to the homeless and those in need at the Lewisville Salvation Army’s Soup Kitchen. Great way for families to serve together!

Valley Creek provides lunch on the second Monday of each month to the Golden Angels, a group of Lewisville seniors citizens who are living on an extremely limited income.  Great way to get to meet some seniors in need in our community!
