HURRICANE HARVEY HELP

Hurricane Harvey has impacted many lives on the gulf coast of Texas, and we responded with hope. Becuase of the generosity of Valley Creek Church many received food and supplies that we greatly appreciated in their time of need.   We were able to send 19 semi/box trucks and thousands of boxes and pallets of items.  Thank you to all who donated and to the over 2,000 people who served to make it happen.

SERVE THE CITY – LEWISVILLE

VALLEY CREEK MENTORS

Mentoring is a mutually transforming relationship where lives are impacted and God is glorified.  Join us as we seek to be used by God to raise up a new generation of leaders who will bring about a positive, permanent change to our communities.

FEEDING THOSE IN NEED

Valley Creek provides lunch on the first Sunday of every month to the homeless and those in need at the Lewisville Salvation Army’s Soup Kitchen. Everyone is welcome to serve!

READING BUDDY / SCHOOL VOLUNTEER

Reading with students can help them develop a love of reading and a greater motivation to read. This provides an environment where younger readers feel a sense of accomplishment while they build fluency. Because the program provides success in literacy, students often become more positive about their ability to read and may also improve their overall learning skills. Ideally, buddy visits will be weekly to ensure a trust with the child is created.

There are many more opportunities to serve in the schools in our communities outside of being a reading buddy.  Field trips, copy room help, any many more activities are needed.

If you are interested in either of these opportunities there are two things needed:
