BUILDING SERVICES ASSISTANT (FULL-TIME)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The role of Assistant Building Manager is to manage and oversee all aspects of building services for Valley Creek Church, including campus and project management.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain the ongoing maintenance of the building including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and preventative maintenance.
  • Overseeing aesthetic maintenance and enhancements to keep the building looking fresh and new
  • Working with all ministries to plan and coordinate events, including room scheduling and set-up/clean-up.
  • Coordinate, set and manage all meeting space requests through online church software.
  • Lead and develop serve team members by building & growing relationships, mentoring and inviting those interested in serving in building services.
  • Manage relationships and service needs with all applicable vendors of all/assigned campus locations.
  • Perform other duties as requested by ministry leadership.
  • Engage cross functionally to support other ministries in projects, gatherings and building sets.
  • Leadership with the heart before the hands mentality.

  • Proficient in MS Office.

Work Hours

  • Required work hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5pm, occasionally off on Friday and working on Saturday and/or Sunday.
  • Required to work during all services on Christmas Eve and Easter, as well as other possible events outside of normal working hours as required by leadership (i.e. All-In Gatherings, Leadership Gatherings, Baptism Services, EPIC prep and support, etc.).

GRAPHIC DESIGNER (FULL-TIME)

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is part of a team responsible for producing creative, relevant, and effective communications that help people take the next step on their journey with Jesus. This role will help take all print media, graphic arts, video, social media and other forms of communications to a new level of excellence. This role reports to the Communications/Creative Director.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Member of team that designs all of VCC’s graphic content for all communications media, including: website; videos; e-newsletter; weekend services; plasmas; printed collateral; external advertising; signage; SWAG.
  • Design art direction and creative concepts for above communications media.
  • Research and remain current on software, hardware, and techniques within the graphic arts industry.
  • Participate in creative team meetings to contribute ideas, support, and critique.
  • Invite, develop, and disciple volunteers to serve on the Communications/Creative Team.
  • Perform other duties as requested by ministry leadership.

 

Job Specific Qualifications/Skills

  • Ability to manage and execute multiple projects and numerous activities
  • Flexibility to respond to changing plans and short deadlines
  • Gifted in design and creativity
  • Ability to turn a thought into a visual reality
  • Developed eye for color, composition, and perspective
  • Proficient in typography
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Degree or work equivalent in graphic arts
  • Three – five years experience in graphic design

VCC KIDS KID KEEPER (PART-TIME)

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

The purpose of this position is to assist in providing excellent care for children during non-worship activities at the church for events requiring childcare.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Overview of Responsibilities and Duties

  • Engages and disciples children, ages infant through 12 years old
  • Teaches Bible stories and lead classroom activities
  • Assists with cleaning and straightening of rooms after children leave
  • Keeps consistent and clear communications with Kid Keeper Management

 

Required Qualifications

  • Is 16 years of age or older
  • Has a vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Meets the VCC leadership requirements
  • Loves children
  • Works well with others
  • Is able to communicate with love to children and parents
  • Is on time for scheduled work hours
  • Is flexible with scheduling and work assignments
  • Has reliable and consistent transportation
  • Is able to lift 10-20 lbs (with or without assistance) and endure extended periods of standing and walking
  • Successfully completes a criminal background check

 

Preferred Qualification

  • Prior experience working with children and willingness to work with children with special needs
